Why own a blog

Rented ground, or your own ground

There are two honest ways to publish. Both work. They just build different things.

Many topical blogs on separate domains linking to one website

Publishing on rented ground

Articles published across 80+ topical blogs — each on its own separate domain, matched to your subject.

  • Readers on your topic are already there
  • Every article links back to your website
  • Live fast, no setup on your side
  • · But the home each article lives in belongs to someone else

That service is real and it stays available — see blog articles.

This page One blog of your own, built and cared for

Publishing on your own ground

A whole blog that belongs to you — your topic, your name on it, one address everything lives at.

  • Every article we ever write for you accrues to the same place
  • Your branding, your categories, optionally your own domain
  • It keeps existing between orders — an asset, not a campaign
  • We build it, host it and keep it alive; you never log in

Plenty of customers do both: network articles for reach, a dedicated blog as the home base they all point to.

Network articles → Both prices, one page →
Fully managed

You own it. We run every moving part.

Owning a blog usually means becoming its unpaid sysadmin. Not this one.

Built and configured

Design, structure and categories set up before launch — a finished blog, not an empty install. The first version you ever see is the finished one, with your name on it.

Hosted for the year

Twelve months of hosting come with the order. No hosting account to open, no server to think about, and no separate hosting bill arriving later — it is inside the one price.

HTTPS from day one

Certificate installed and security hardened before the first visitor — the padlock is there at launch. Connect your own domain later and HTTPS is set up on the new address too.

Backed up automatically

Restore points are taken without you asking for them, so a bad day can be rolled back. You will never be told to “make a backup before proceeding” — that is our job, on our clock.

Watched, not just running

Uptime monitoring with a person behind it. If something breaks at three in the morning, it pages us — not you. You find out it happened, if at all, from the fix.

A sitemap that tends itself

The sitemap updates itself as articles are added, and every new article is submitted to search engines the moment it publishes — the map and the engines never drift apart.

No dashboard to learn. No login to remember. Nothing waiting on you to click update. The rest of the small print lives in the FAQ.

The launch package

What $94 actually buys

One price, three deliverables: the build, the launch content, and the handover.

The build

  • Design, structure and categories configured for your topic
  • HTTPS certificate and security hardening from the first day
  • A year of hosting, automatic backups and uptime monitoring
  • Your own subdomain — or your own domain, your call, movable later

Three launch articles

So the doors never open onto an empty room. Each one gets the full treatment:

  • Researched and originally written on your topic
  • Keyword-planned, with a search-friendly title and description
  • Internally linked and included in the sitemap
  • Submitted to search engines the moment it publishes
  • Through the automated quality gate before going live

The handover

Delivery ends with a report, not a “trust us”. On its one page you get:

  • Your live address, ready to share
  • Every live URL from the order in one place — each launch article listed with its title and the search topic it was written to capture
  • The quality status of the work, stated on the report itself
  • Three formats: a web page you can forward, a PDF for the file, and a plain list of the links
  • The report link never expires — come back to it any time

The quality gate

Nothing publishes because it is merely finished

Everything that goes onto your blog — the launch articles and every article after them — has to clear an automated review first.

  • Every link and image loads. No dead ends, no broken pictures.
  • Text passes contrast checks. Readable for everyone, not just sharp eyes on bright screens.
  • Search markup validates. Structured data is checked, not assumed.
  • The brand is right. Names, details and addresses match your brief exactly.
  • Claims trace to a source. Factual statements must point somewhere real.

Anything that fails goes back to production to be fixed and re-checked — not to your blog, and not to your inbox as homework. It publishes when it passes, and the price does not change because we had to try twice.

The same gate stands in front of the free page and article — so you can watch it work before spending anything.

The same gate, every time — the launch articles and every article after them.

Your address

It can live on your own domain

blog.yourbrand.com

Connecting it is one line copied into your domain settings. We walk you through it — or do it with you on a call — and it never touches your existing website.

1

Tell us the address

Any subdomain of a domain you own — blog.yourbrand.com is the classic. It has to be a subdomain rather than the bare domain, because a bare domain cannot take this kind of record. That is a rule of DNS, not of ours.

2

Add one CNAME record

We send you the exact line: one CNAME record pointing your chosen subdomain at the address we give you. Copy, paste, save — or we add it together on a call. Nothing else in your DNS changes, so your website and your email are untouched.

3

We take it from there

Our system watches for the record, confirms the routing on its own, and sets up HTTPS on the new address. You do not have to tell us when you are done — we notice, and keep checking until it verifies.

Illustration of a blog connected to its own web address

One record, and the blog answers at your address — with HTTPS already on it.

Start on a subdomain we provide

Nothing for you to set up, and you are live sooner. When you are ready, we move the blog to your own address with proper redirects — so nothing you have built is lost, and search engines follow along.

Or your own domain from day one

blog.yourbrand.com from the first article. Tell us the address when you order; we send you the single DNS line to add, or add it together. Your main website is untouched either way.

Both routes end in the same place — your blog, on your address, HTTPS already on. Whether connecting touches your existing site is answered in the questions below.

After launch

Launch day is the smallest your blog will ever be

The three launch articles are the floor, not the ceiling. From then on the blog grows exactly as fast as you want it to — and only when you ask.

Illustration of a blog growing article by article

Every article accrues to the same address — the blog compounds instead of scattering.

Add articles any time

$15 an article, one time — no subscription, no minimum. Packs bring the per-article price down when you want a batch.

One choice sends them home

When you order articles, you pick the destination — and “my own dedicated blog” is one of the options on the form. Same writers, same checks, your address.

Links that compound

Every new article is internally linked to the ones before it, sits in the sitemap, and is submitted to search engines the moment it publishes. The more your blog holds, the more each piece supports the rest — and all of it is yours.

Article packs step the per-article price down when you want a batch — the full ladder lives on the articles page.

How it works

From a short brief to a live blog

The whole first year, in order — from the day you send the brief to the day we ask the renewal question.

A steady rhythm of articles being published over a calendar

After launch, the blog publishes at whatever rhythm you set — steady weeks or quiet months, and nothing lapses either way.

1
Day zero

Tell us the topic and the name

What the blog is about, what it should be called, and which address it should live at. If you want it on your own domain, we will send you the one DNS line to add — or do it together on a call.

Submitting saves the order — your confirmation page shows the exact total straight away.

2
When you are ready

Pay on the confirmation page — or later, from the email

The confirmation page shows the exact total with a secure hosted checkout, and the confirmation email carries the same pay link — pay straight away or come back to it. Want to adjust the scope first? Reply to the email; a person answers within about one business day, and nothing is produced until you pay.

3
The build

We build it and stock it

We set up the blog, apply your branding, harden and secure it, then write and publish your three launch articles so it does not open empty.

Each launch article clears the quality gate before it publishes.

4
Launch day

It goes live — and we keep it alive

You get the live address and your delivery report. From there it is hosted, backed up and monitored for a full year. Order more articles any time and pick your blog as the destination.

The report — web, PDF and plain link list — arrives with the live address, and the link never expires.

5
From then on — your pace

It grows exactly as fast as you ask it to

Order articles whenever you like and pick your blog as the destination — each one researched, written, checked, internally linked and added to the sitemap like the launch three. Months of silence cost nothing extra, and nothing lapses quietly in the background.

A year from now

The renewal is a question, not a charge

Most subscriptions are designed to be forgotten. This one is designed to be answered.

Today

One payment, all-in

$94 covers the entire first year — build, hosting, security, backups, monitoring and the three launch articles.

Months 1–12

It just runs

Hosted, backed up and watched the whole year. Add articles whenever you like; ignore it for months if you like. Nothing lapses quietly.

Before the date

We write to you first

You hear from us before renewal, not from your bank after it. Nothing charges automatically — renewal is a payment you choose to make, never one that happens to you.

You decide

Yes, or no — both fine

Keep it for $94 a year, or tell us you are done. The blog does not vanish on the date, and nothing happens silently either way.

That is the entire renewal machinery: an email, and your answer. What saying no actually looks like is answered in the questions below — and the year-by-year numbers sit in the whole bill above.

Who owns one

Four kinds of owner, one kind of blog

The blog is the same underneath. Whose name goes on it — and what the articles point at — is the part that changes.

Agencies & resellers

A client’s content home, run under your management. Order the blog for a client, put their brand in the brief, and pick a service level with approval and branding control at the order step. You keep the relationship; we keep the servers.

More for agencies →

Local businesses

blog.yourbusiness.com, answering what people in your area actually type into a search box — with every article pointing at your booking page or phone number. A trade blog that looks after itself while you work.

More for local businesses →

SaaS & startups

The content programme you keep postponing, minus the part where you run it. One article per problem your product solves, all of it accruing to an address you own instead of scattering across the internet.

More for SaaS teams →

E-commerce & Shopify

Buying guides, comparisons and how-tos that live next door to your store and link into your categories and product pages — the pages that need links and never naturally earn them.

More for online stores →

Whoever's name goes on it, the service underneath is identical — same build, same quality gate, same renewal question. Start with the brief, or put the numbers side by side on the pricing page first.

Questions

About your dedicated blog

The questions people actually ask before ordering, answered the way we would answer them on a call.

What is a dedicated blog, in plain English?+

A whole blog that belongs to you — its own address, your topic, your name on it. We build it, design it, write for it and keep it running. It is different from ordering articles on our network: there, other blogs link to your site; here, the blog is one of your own assets.

What does $94 actually cover?+

Your first year: setup, design, hosting, HTTPS, security, backups, monitoring, and three articles to launch the blog. After twelve months it is $94 to keep it running for another year. More articles are $15 each, whenever you want them.

Will I be charged automatically when it renews?+

No. Nothing is ever charged automatically. We contact you before the renewal date and you decide. If you would rather not continue, say so — the blog does not vanish on the date and nothing happens silently.

Can I move it to my own domain later?+

Yes, at any point. Launch on a subdomain we provide today, and move it to blog.yourbrand.com whenever you are ready. We move it with proper redirects, so nothing you have built up is lost and search engines follow along.

Do I have to write or publish anything myself?+

No. We handle research, writing, images, publishing and search submission. You never log in to the blog. Just order articles and pick your blog as the destination.

Who writes the articles — and can I see them before they publish?+

People who research your topic and look things up — the same production team behind everything on this site, with the same quality gate on every piece. On the standard level, work publishes as soon as it clears the checks. If you would rather sign off first, pick a service level with approval at the order step and every draft waits for your OK before it goes anywhere near your blog.

How long does it take to go live?+

The brief takes a few minutes to send. Your order is saved straight away, and the confirmation page shows the exact total with a secure checkout — the confirmation email carries the same pay link, so paying later works too. Production starts the moment your payment clears; if you want to adjust the scope first, just reply to the email and a person answers within about one business day. From there we build, stock and launch the blog, and launch day ends with the live address and the delivery report in your hands.

What happens if an article fails the quality gate?+

It goes back to production to be fixed, then through the gate again. It does not publish, it does not land in your inbox as homework, and the price does not change. The gate exists so a failure is our problem at our desk — never a live problem on your blog.

What exactly is in the delivery report?+

Every live URL from your order, each article with its title and the search topic it was written to capture, where each piece published, and the quality status of the work. It comes three ways: a web page you can share, a PDF for the file, and a plain list of links. The report link never expires.

Do you guarantee rankings or traffic?+

No — and nobody honestly can. Search engines decide rankings; anyone promising you a position is selling you their optimism. What we promise is structural: every article clears the quality gate, is submitted to search engines the moment it publishes, and sits in a sitemap that keeps itself current — and the report shows you exactly what is live. What gets built is guaranteed. How the engines rank it is not something anyone can sell you.

Do I need to buy hosting or a domain before I order?+

No. A year of hosting is inside the one price, and the blog launches on a subdomain we provide unless you want your own address from day one. If you do, any subdomain of a domain you already own works — we send you the single DNS record to add, or add it together on a call. There is nothing to buy anywhere else first, and no hosting bill arriving later.

Does connecting my domain touch my existing website?+

No. The blog is hosted by us, entirely separate from your site. Connecting it means adding one record for a new subdomain — nothing on your existing domain is edited, so your website and your email carry on exactly as before. If DNS is not your thing, we add the record together on a call.

If I decide not to renew, what happens?+

Nothing silent, and nothing on the stroke of midnight. We write to you before the renewal date; if you decide not to continue, the blog does not vanish on the date and we talk the wind-down through with you like people. Payment is one-time and nothing is set up to renew on its own, so nothing can be charged while you think about it.

Can I order one for a client instead of my own business?+

Yes — agencies do exactly that. Put the client’s brand in the brief and the blog is built around their name and their topic, not yours. The service levels at the order step add approval and branding control on top, and there is a whole page about working this way — see the agencies page.

Something not covered? Ask us — a person replies. The site-wide FAQ covers the rest of the service.
